Review: Assault Heroes 2

Compared to the original I have to say that i like this one slightly better.Aliens are still attacking and you have to stop them from taking over. The graphics are Pretty awesome in this game. The controls in the game are almost perfect. A plus is that you can hijack enemy vehicles, including a mechanical walker, a tank and a helicopter. There's also a lot more fighting on foot than before. Sadly some of these space battles are fought so that sometimes it's almost impossible to see what's ahead of you, but these parts are not that long and many which is great. There are any big boss battles and they are almost exclusively fun and satisfying. The game is very long consisting of 30 areas compared to the original with only 17 areas. It is defiantly more fun to play this game with a friend through Xbox Live. If you were a fan of the first game i would really recommend buying this one.

If any of you have played this feel free to leave any comments about it.

Review: Iron Man

Iron man is an okay game. One thing I do not like very much is that the game does not really stick to the movie plot, but the game plot is still pretty good. The levels are very much alike, pulvurinzing small base defenses so you can work your way to the main base. Then its a typical boss fight, the same a s with many other games. When you start moving forward in the game you are able to upgrade things like: hand weapons, thruster, auxiliary weapons, powers cores ect. to help you complete your objectives.

Gameplay: It's easy to control Iron Man and with a levels with plenty of things to destroy it it is fun. I like the ability to fly and hover without having to land constantly to recharge some kind of energy source. You can also redirect your energy to differnt parts of your body. Over all the game is an ok play, but Iwould not reccomend going out and buying it unless you love Iron Man. Be sure to rent this one before you buy.

Review: Grand Theft Auto 4

GTA4 was one of, if not the most anticipated game of the year so far. And after playing it for the past two weeks I understand why.

Story Line: The story line is amazing and not too complicated to follow. You are a character known as Niko Bellic who has just arrived to America from Europe. You start out living with your cousin and eventually get your own place. Like all of the GTA series you start out low in the food chain and work your way up by completing the missions. In the game you meet so many characters, each with their own story and personality, most of whom being some kind of gangster. Most of the missions involve murdering and stealing cars, which is what the game is about right? The missions never get repetitive and you are able to choose the fate of some of the people you are targeting. These choices may come back to haunt you.

Graphics: The games graphics are unbelievable and so realistic. Undoubtedly the graphics make the game a hundred times better because they make you feel like your actually in the game, especially if you have your system hooked up to surround sound. Unlike the past GTA games that looked almost like cartoons, GTA4 looks a lot more real. Explosions and fires look amazing in the game, and i really enjoy creating them (especially when there is a traffic jam- throw a grenade that is all I can say).

Gameplay: The gameplay is great and very easy to learn. Crouching and Sheltering behind walls is a great feature allowing you not to be openly hit by incoming shots. The controls are fairly similar to the old GTA games and take little time getting use to. A great thing that I like is how the directions pop up in the upper left corner to let you know how an action like buying a hot dog is done.

Miscellaneous: As always the weapons in the game are great, even though I have not unlocked all of them yet. Like the other games in the series the pedestrians are always rambling on about something hilarious like: "I've been to the other side! they have pizza's the size of cities!" or "So I called that girl I met last night, she turned out to be a dude!"

Xbox 360 VS PS3

People debate about this all the time: Which console is better xbox 360 or playstation 3. There is a lot to look at when comparing the two, and they both have their strenghts and weaknesses. We are going to start with game line up.

Game Line Up: As you all know Xbox 360 was released before PS3 which means Xbox is going to have more games released. Giving xbox players a wider variety of games to choose from. Not to mention that Halo 3 is only released on xbox 360, which in my opinion is one of the greatest games out right now. So because of this xbox wins in game line up.

Graphics: With these two next gen consoles the graphics are very similar. It is very hard to tell unless you have your console hooked up to your HDTV ( and if you don't your really missing out, especially when you hook it up through the HDMI cable). Though I can not tell myself, it is said that PS3 has slightly better graphics so PS3 has this one beat.

Online Play: Online play is really the new standard in video games, it is what makes or breaks a game. Xbox 360 has a great online system known as Xbox Live and it leads the way in online gameplay. Even though it is $50 dollars a year it is well worth the money. Xbox Live is very feature rich with things such as the market place were you can buy anything from gamer pictures, to actual original xbox games. Playstation Online has some great features as well and you can also buy original PS2 games online. One great thing about PS3 is that it has a built in web browser, which can be very convenient. Playstation Online is also free, which is great. But all in all Playstation Online just doesn't live up to Xbox Live. Xbox has this won.

Conclusion: With all things accounted for I think Xbox 360 is the all around better console, and it is the console of choice for many people I know. So if you have been on Antarctica for the past 3 years and don't own a Next gen console I would recommend you purchase an xbox 360. Make sure you get the pro edition though.

So what do you think? are you a fan of the Xbox 360 or PS3?

MLG Pro Top Snipes

Old school

So I was rummaging through my attic today when i stumbled across my old Nintendo 64. I was stoked! I quickly took it out of my attic and proceeded to hook it up to my TV. The memories were flashing back to my early years. I couldn't even decide what game to play with such a great line up including: Starfox ( possibly my favorite game ever), Legend of Zelda Majoras Mask, Mario Cart, and Super Mario 64. I decided to start with Zelda. At first I had a hard time adjusting to the controls but eventually adapted. And boy did I have a great time. The Nintendo 64 is still a great console and will remain as one of the greatest consoles ever made in my book.
So I have to say if any of you happen to have your old 64 laying around, dust it off and start gaming. It is a great chance to relive past memories and it changes things up from todays HD focused world.

Halo 3: top kills

Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty 4, the game that finally broke my addiction to Halo 3. COD4 is great, the graphics are so good you sort of feel bad shooting people because of the realistic look, but you just can't seem to release the trigger. Campaign mode is great, with this game you actually feel as if you are in the middle of combat, right there on the front lines leading your country to victory. The story line flows, and there are plenty of achievements (trying to get all of them can keep you busy for a while). New modern weapons really give you a feel for the game. As if the campaign was not addicting enough, Infinity Ward throws in an outstanding multiplayer experience. Work your way up the ranks and you can eventually start earning prestige. So many maps and game types make this game a sure kill. Though I am going to have to say my favorite game type is all out team deathmatch.

Halo 3

Halo 3 is an amazing game and the anticipation building up to the game was well worth the wait. After standing in line for around 4 hours I was finally able to snag my copy. In this review I am going to focus on the multiplayer feature of the game.
The graphics have greatly improved since the days when halo 2 dominated online play. There is also very little lag when playing. All of the multiplayer maps are great except for the infamous snowbound, which is a series of underground tunnels and caves. There are new features to the game including a bubble shield, power drain, regenerator, among others. Since i obtained my copy I have not been able to lay the controller down, this is a definite buy for any gamer.
